Howdy all ~
This isn’t a regular article, but more of an explanation of what is going on with this newsletter and Twitter, and what I am currently thinking.
Since Substack recently launched its own Twitter clone, Twitter has been fighting back. Originally, all Substack links were disallowed, but while that restriction was eventually removed, just recently, Twitter has added restrictions to Substack links - both from Twitter to Substack, and from Substack to Twitter.
This makes it difficult for me to write articles and create content on this platform, as the original impetus was for this to be the home of the long-form versions of my thoughts that originate from Twitter.
I’m not sure if these are temporary restrictions, but if they aren’t, I will likely need to migrate the newsletter to a different service. I’ve been assured that a migration will be seamless for my audience if that’s the route to go, though it isn’t ideal, and I’m comfortable writing here. And y’know. Change is scary.
But either way, my primary platform is Twitter, so if Substack and Twitter are gonna keep having a beef I’m going to need to figure out alternatives - and I would like to apologize for the disruption of this newsletter for my wonderful and supportive audience.
The current plan is to wait out this week, see if the current restrictions were intentional and permanent, and if so, I’ll be transitioning the newsletter to a different service that has no intentions of making a Twitter competitor - hopefully there will be no significant adjustment for y’all.
Thank you all immensely for your support and understanding, and hopefully this can all be figured out soon :)

Yes, change is scary, we'll be fine either way.
Thanks for the update man. That all makes total sense. We’re with ya!
